Recent promotions include Krakkus (death knight) to the lofty role of Melee DPS Section Leader. Krakkus has very kindly agreed to take on that mantle and rise to the challenge.

"It will be an honour!" was his first reaction, quickly followed by "Err... what will I have to do?" once he had come to his senses. (*evil chuckle* Too late to say no then! Shun)

First reactions from the melee group are very favorable. Even Nyarti thawed a little to say : "Good choice. It's not like we need much babysitting anyway, melee tend to know what they are doing and when to do it but more coordination always helps." (I agree with you there Nya. Shun)

The were rumours Vezax had a friend, and on the 18th August we met him. Between you and me, he was just full of hot air, but spank him we did, and after dodging countless crashes, kicking our habit of mana potions for one night and needing many ice packs for our rogues' sore legs, he went down.

There is Spam which we all dislike and then there is Achievement Spam which we can't get enough of.

Last night was a particularly successful raid with not just one but four Icecrown Citadel Achievements which came with the added bonus of great server rankings:

Dances with Oozes : Server 1st (348th in the world rankings!)
Flu Shot Shortage : Server 2nd
Full House : Server 4th

On a hard fought Sunday evening (back on the 9th August), Apocalypse chose to try to kill Steelbreaker last. Even though he offered the largest target, our DPS was forced to focus on smaller fish first, and after many attempts, tank explosions and the obligatory 1% wipe, the big guy fell before we did.

On the 23rd August, we went into the lightning arena to learn the secrets of Sif. Long had we seen her standing next to Thorim, but when we got there she was gone. This time we managed to catch her, and force her to play with us as well. She brings it cold, and dodging blizzards was added to the great game of dodging lightning bursts. It wasn't long before we made him see Sif for what she really was, a tenticle appendage of Yogi himself.

On the same night, we also let Freya have a friend over, and still managed to knock her over.
