Apocalypse kills Yogg-Saron!

Permanent Linkby Shunli on 18 May 2009, 23:38

Tonight was a dream, raiders will know what I mean. Every fresh attempt was better than the previous one, we were getting closer and closer... you could feel the energy and the tension coursing through the raid.

The last few percents were nail biting, with one MT dead, it was all down to the last tank standing. He tanked like a God. Guardians were flocking to him like sailors to a siren. It was an epic end to an epic fight.

As Xilaran put it "I am proud of you all. Teamwork, dedication and hard work have all paid off tonight!."

Congratulations Apoc!

Recent Guild Additions

Permanent Linkby Shunli on 16 May 2009, 15:24

We welcome to Apocalypse its latest social applicant: Calhadan (rogue) who looks to become a valued member. (He had better or he will feel the whip. Shun)

He certainly seems the chatty kind as most of the officers's logs pre his invitation to the guild will confirm. He already has some friends in the guild, this should help him integrate faster and enable him to get lots of sign-ups for all those 10mans he promised he would run.

Recent Raid Promotions

Permanent Linkby Shunli on 16 May 2009, 14:58

Recent promotions include Krakkus (death knight) to the lofty role of Melee DPS Section Leader. Krakkus has very kindly agreed to take on that mantle and rise to the challenge. :D

"It will be an honour!" was his first reaction, quickly followed by "Err... what will I have to do?" once he had come to his senses. (*evil chuckle* Too late to say no then! Shun)

First reactions from the melee group are very favorable. Even Nyarti thawed a little to say : "Good choice. It's not like we need much babysitting anyway, melee tend to know what they are doing and when to do it but more coordination always helps." (I agree with you there Nya. Shun)

Blogs to boldly go etc.

Don't start groaning. I am allowed to make gratuitous Star Trek references since the film is out this week (in the UK at least) and I will be going to watch it. :)

I have studiously avoided reading/listening to any comments/critics or reviews so that I may enjoy it without the encumbrance of expectations.

The only thing which is going to be in my thoughts about my forthcoming cinematic expedition is the choice of snacks with which to accompany my evening.

The hardcore mode is of course no snacks at all although I think that the smallest bottle of water available could be allowed for small sips to be taken as infrequently as possible and with as much discretion as possible.

I have to state immediately that the hardcore mode is not for me. I am going to be sitting for close to 2h in the same spot and some refreshments are going to be needed. If the film proves to be a terrible flop they will double...
